Changing meeting time

Lucy: Hi, Anna. Do you have a minute to talk about the meeting next Tuesday?

Anna: Sure. We said 11, didn't we?

Lucy: Yeah, we did. But I have a bit of a problem with the time.

Would it be possible to move it?

a bit: a small amount or piece of something küçük parça, parçacık - I wrote it down on a bit of paper. - There's a little bit more pasta left. would - used to talk about a situation that you can imagine happening ne olabileceği hayal edilen durumla ilgili olarak konuşurken - It would be lovely to go to New York.

Anna: Oh, I see. We could postpone it to the afternoon, to 1 p.m., for example. Or bring it forward to earlier in the morning.

What would suit you?

could - used to make a suggestion bir öneride/teklifte bulunmada kullanılır - You could try painting it a different colour. postpone - to arrange for something to happen at a later time ertelemek, tehir etmek - The trip to the museum has been postponed until next week.

Lucy: Could we make it 9 o'clock? That would really help me. I have another important meeting in the central office at 12.

could - used to ask someone politely to do or provide something bir şeyi nazikçe istemede veya sormada kullanılır - Could you lend me £5? - Could I have another drink?

Anna: No problem. It's important you're there.

Lucy: Thanks a lot, Anna.

Lucy: Yes, I did. And no, that's all fine, thanks. My report is ready and I'm looking forward to presenting it.

Anna: Great.

Lucy: I can tell Sven about the time change. I'll see him later.

Anna: Don't worry about telling Sven. I'll send an email to everyone to confirm the time has changed and with an updated meeting invite.

Lucy: Great. Thanks, Anna.

confirm - to say or show that something is true doğrulamak, onaylamak - His wife confirmed that he'd left the house at 8 updated - added new information güncellenmiş - We updated our website
