Rich Roll Adam Grant podcast

Rich Roll: Well, if thinking about the workplace and what this year has taught us. You talked a little bit about enhancements (iyileştirme) and productivity. Um, what do you think what's your estimation (tahmin, fikir) of....once we get back to, you know, our ability to safely interact, like what is gonna snap back (to quickly return to a previous condition) to the way it was before. And what's not, I mean, we're seeing migrations (göç) of people moving out of cities and finding, you know, places to live that are more affordable, et cetera.

Rich Roll: So I think certainly there's permanent (kalıcı, uzun süreli) uh, implications (muhtemel etki/sonuç) to this where people are realizing they didn't need to do a lot of the things they were doing before. Uh, and yet we do have to, uh, get back to some level of healthy interpersonal (insanlararası, kişilerarası) interactions. So what does that, you know, where's your thinking in terms of (açısından, yönden) that?

Adam Grant: I wish I had a crystal ball. I think it's, it's definitely still a mystery (gizem, muamma). I can tell you the data that I've seen so far would, would predict (tahmin etmek, öngörmek) a few things. First one is Nick Bloom and his colleagues just did a nationally representative survey of 15,000 Americans. And they found that essentially people are expecting to do so usually somewhere between 20 and 25% of their Workdays remote. And that's taking into account (hesaba katmak) individual preferences, as well as the organizational policies (kurumsal politikalar) that are starting to emerge (meydana çıkmak, doğmak). And most of that is hybrid. That's not, you know, a bunch (demet, takım) of companies saying we're gonna be fully in the office and a bunch of workplaces saying we're gonna be fully remote.

Adam Grant: That's most people and most leaders saying, you know, we'd love to have people in the office three, four days a week, and then work from anywhere the rest. The challenge with that is what kind of office space do you need? Right. If, if you want, do you want everyone to be there three days, then you need a huge office and it's a major waste.
